To have a nice and comfy bed matters. It is because it affects our sleeping habit. Nobody wants to sleep on a hard mattress and weak bed foundation. So, here’s the question, do you have any idea on how your bed was made? No? Oh, I will tell you.

Some metals possess high structural strength per unit mass, making them useful materials for carrying large loads or resisting impact damage. That is why some bedsteads or bed frames are made of metal. It is the simplest bed frame, and sits on low wheels or casters. This type of frame usually comes in twin/full, queen and king sizes. On metal king bed frames, the width of the bed requires centre support, so these usually have a metal strip in the middle of the frame to provide that extra support. Each side of the metal bed frame, in any size, has slightly raised edges with an inch or two (2.54-5.08 cm) of metal support to keep the mattress from slipping off the frame. The frame is made up of head, foot, and side rails. Bed frames support mattresses or the foundations or box springs underneath a mattress. In all, bed frames should provide total stability for the rest of the bed. There are several types of bed frames as well as significant cost variation among different types. For heavy duty or larger frames (such as for queen- and king-sized beds), the bed frame also includes a centre support rail. These rails are assembled to create a box for the mattress or mattress/box spring to sit on. Murphy bed is a kind of bed which can fold down in wall. It uses iron for its frame because its weight is lighter than wood.
